Today, Update 3.012 for the IL2 Great Battles project was released. As well as a new fighter aircraft each for both the Flying Circus and Battle of Bodenplatte modules, two new vehicles have been added to the Tank Crew module: The M4A2 Sherman as a lend-lease for the Soviet side, and the Panzer III M for the German side. Both vehicles are fully modeled to the same quality as the already present KV-1s and Panzer VI H1, although at present the crew is not yet modelled, and will represent a new style of gameplay to the Soviet and German Heavies already present in the simulation.
In addition to the new vehicles is the release of the Prokhorovka map, a 100km x 100km map designed from the ground up to be ideal for combined-arms operations utilizing both armor and aviation units, while accurately recreating the region in which the Battle of Kursk took place in real life. The map is 16 times more complex than the already existing aerial combat maps, and in addition, has a 20km area to the South West with the new complex damage model buildings that should provide even more immersive combat scenarios. Three new Retrofit Systems have been announced for Armored Warfare, the first two coming with the launch of the second Arabian Nights content season, and the third coming with the second half of the new French vehicle branch later on. These retrofits are:
-Active Thermal Camera: Unlocked from the AMX-13 DCA (Tier 5 AFV). Reduces the bonuses enemy vehicles gain from map terrain (Bushes, Trees and other Foliage), however it will reduce the effectiveness of upgrades such as the Improved Cooling System on your own vehicle.
-AI Targeting: Unlocked from the AMX-40 (Tier 5 MBT). Will improve your vehicle's aiming time, with the penalty of a reduced overall accuracy.
-Pressure Control: Unlocked from the VCAC Mephisto (Tier 8 TD). Will provide a large buff to off-road acceleration, but only when applied to wheeled vehicles.

In order to aid progression for players who have reached tier V and above, Wargaming is introducing a new system to their title, called the "Blueprint" system. These Blueprints will drop in a percentage of matches played in vehicles of tier V and above, and cannot be purchased with any of the currencies available in the game. Blueprints will reduce the cost of researching a corresponding vehicle from tiers II to X, but not its associated modules, and are more likely to be dropped if you play more effectively. You can receive multiple blueprints for a vehicle, incrementally reducing its research cost to a maximum of 100%. Should you earn a blueprint for an already researched vehicle, it will be converted into either a "Universal" or "National" Blueprint. Universal Blueprints can be applied to any vehicle, and National to any vehicle of the same Nation as the original already researched vehicle. 4 Universal Blueprints and one National Blueprint can be combined to create a Blueprint for a specific vehicle.
Please note that this feature is a work in progress, and details may change in future. More information can be found at the following link:
